Fredrika Lagergren Wahlin, Vice Chancellor for the collaboration has been appointed the University of Gothenburg's co-opted member of the Board of Johanneberg Science Park. She takes over from Birger Simonson, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, who has retired.

– We are very pleased to welcome Fredrika Lagergren Wahlin to the Board. An active commitment from the University of Gothenburg is important for us to continue developing the work," says Lars Göran Andersson, CEO of HSB Göteborg, and Chairman of the Board of Johanneberg Science Park.

Johanneberg Science Park is a leading collaboration in urban development. Together with partners from universities, society and business, national and international innovation projects are testing solutions of future urban challenges, such as energy supply, sustainable development and housing. The Board has representatives of the two founders, the City of Gothenburg and Chalmers, as well as some fifteen representatives from the management team from Johanneberg Science Park's other partners.

Fredrika Lagergren Wahlin is Vice Chancellor of the collaboration at the University of Gothenburg and has previously also been a member of the Board of Lindholmen Science Park.

– I see very good opportunities for the University of Gothenburg to become even more engaged in Johanneberg Science Park. Urban development involves many of the areas we are strong at, such as social science and natural sciences, but also the humanities and artistic education. We have so far had good discussions with Johanneberg Science Park and the aspiration is to participate more in broad project collaboration," says Fredrika Lagergren Wahlin.
