The FED system has been up and running at Chalmers since January. It works! The final results will be presented in October, however, some preliminary results are already known. Do come to this breakfast seminar to hear about these results as well as answers to the remaining questions.

The Fossil-free Energy Districts project, FED, is an innovative effort by the City of Gothenburg to decrease the use of energy and the dependence on fossil fuel in a built environment. A unique local marketplace for electricity, district heating and cooling is being developed together with nine strong partners.

Four master students will present results from their studiew on opportunities and barriers of replication to other countries, such as the Netherlands, replication to the City of Gothenburg and to optimizing technical aspects by reducing peak cooling.

In parallel to the optimisation and evaluation happening now, the FED system is looking to scale up by replicating to other contexts. How can this be done? Where should it be replicated to? Which parts of the system are vital? Is it possible to perform a pre-study? Which policies are in the way?
