The forest program is a new way of collaborating for forest owners, authorities, researchers, entrepreneurs, municipalities and others with an interest in a sustainable use of the forest. The program will be filled with seminars, courses, study visits and research projects where the balance between the environment, economic aspects and the forest's social values becomes important. Along with collaboration, development, dialogue and awareness are key words for the work.
The following organizations have supported the declaration of intent in the program:
Region Västra Götaland, The Federation of Swedish Farmers – LRF in Västra Götaland, the County Administrative Board of Västra Götalands län, Södra ( forest owners association), the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences,The Swedish Forest Agency and Association of Local Authorities in Fyrbodal, Skaraborg, Borås, Sjuhärad and Gothenburg.
