Tyréns AB new owner in Johanneberg Science Park AB
Tyréns AB becomes the new joint owner of Johanneberg Science Park AB. Tyréns has extensive experience of closely collaborating with universities and university colleges from working with industrial doctoral students, adjunct professorships and common projects. Johanneberg Science Park will provide a new forum for working with other actors and the university. The most interesting aspect of the collaboration is the proximity to students and researchers.
- Research and development is essential to us. We are investing substantial resources into this collaboration, especially through our owning foundation. It is exciting to be introduced to a new context which will hopefully result in new ways of thinking for us. In a longer perspective, we see ourselves engaging in joint development-projects which will result in the advancement of Sweden’s position in the field of built environment, says Ulrika Francke, CEO of Tyréns AB.
Tyréns is one of Sweden’s most prominent consultant companies within the field of built environment who creates solutions within urban construction and infrastructure intended to contribute to a sustainable development of society. Since its establishment in 1942, Tyréns has developed into a group of company employing a little over 1000 members of staff in approximately 20 offices throughout Sweden and in the jointly owned company AKT II in London. Tyréns is owned by a foundation and is preeminent in research and development.

The agreement is signed by both parties on January 10th 2012 in Chalmerska Huset, in the presence of Chalmers’ headmistress Karin Markides and Kenneth Orrgren, the chairman of Tyréns AB.
