Webinar: Gender Equality in Science Parks
Get inspiration from Swedish Science Parks through gender equality initiatives.
During the webinar, Sima Valizadeh, Director for Technology and Business Development of Additive Manufacturing (AM) at Sandbacka Science Park, will present “Woman Empowerment and Gender Equality in Fourth Industrial Revolution" while Anna Broeders, Community & Employer Branding Manager at Linköping Science Park, will present their “Code Summer Camp” initiative - an annual camp for girls and boys aged 7 to 17 where they are given the opportunity to learn more about programming, test new technology, and meet some of the companies in the Science Park at a young age. Matilda Eriksson, PhD Researcher at Stockholm University, will present how the Swedish Innovation System today is working to promote growth and encourage entrepreneurship.
The presentations will be followed by questions from the audience and short discussion coordinated by Eva Kouraki, Project manager at Johanneberg Science Park and Coordinator of Women in IASP subnetwork.

Sima Valizadeh - Additive Manufacturing Technology and Business Development Director in North Middle Sweden @Sandbacka Science Park
Sima Valizadeh is working as a Director for Technology and Business Development of Additive Manufacturing (AM) at Sandbacka Science Park in Sweden. The goal is to help Small and Medium Size companies in north middle Sweden to explore the potential benefits and challenges of AM adoption across products process development. Sima holds a PhD in Thin Film Physics and has over 28 years leadership experience in Multi-Site manufacturing and engineering organizations & industries.
Anna Broeders - Community & Employer Branding Manager @Linköping Science Park
Anna Broeders works as a Community & Employer Branding Manager at Linköping Science Park, Linköping, Sweden. The focus of her work is talent attraction and employer branding of the science park and the companies in the park. She works with both attracting talents to the Science Park, the region and the country as well as creating value for those who already act in the Science Park. Before starting the position at the Science Park, Anna has worked as a recruitment consultant for tech-talents. She is well aware of the target groups' wishes and needs.
Matilda Eriksson - PhD Candidate @Stockholm University - The Institution of Business Administration, Management Section
For the last ten years, Matilda has been working within the Swedish Innovation System. Partly as a project manager developing the organizations and business offers of ten incubators and science parks in the region of east middle Sweden and partly as a business advisor specialized in attracting capital through EU funds. Matilda is also doing her research as a PhD student within female entrepreneurship at Stockholm University.
