Johanneberg Science Park, Chalmers Ventures and GU Ventures have been commissioned by the Swedish Energy Agency to strengthen newly started and small and medium-sized (SME) companies in the region as one of six innovation environments in Sweden. The purpose is to contribute in the long and short term to a restructuring of the energy system both in Sweden and globally. The innovation environment also includes Innovatum Science Park and Business Sweden.

In order to succeed with the adjustment of the energy system, collaboration needs to take place to a greater extent than is happening in society today. Value-creating collaborations, exchanges of skills, experiences, ideas and the promotion of entrepreneurship are activities that, through the support, will contribute to this collaboration.

The innovation environments will work in the following areas:

  • Trainings, workshops and knowledge-raising seminars
  • Initiatives that promote investment in energy innovations
  • Matchmaking 
  • Preparatory efforts for internationalization

In the innovation environment, we work closely with the cluster #greenUps, which consists of around 50 innovative companies in environmental and energy technology.
