The Johanneberg Science Park area currently consists of three building complexes. Chalmers Teknikpark, A Working Lab and the two connected yellow and black houses.
In addition, several of our innovation projects are manifested in the area and many interesting innovations are tested here. The A Working Lab office building is an example of a building that has implemented several new solutions for, for example, energy efficiency, wood construction and flexible learning environments. There is also HSB Living Lab where lots of projects are going on in real time and the entire campus area is connected in the local energy system Fossil-free Energy District (FED) which is a unique demonstration project for local trade in electricity, heating and cooling. Together with Chalmers, we run the Five Star Campus initiative, which tests and visualizes innovations such as self-driving buses, delivery robots and new types of solar panels in the area.

A good way to get to know the area is to have lunch at one of our nice restaurants. At restaurant Ooto in the black house, delicious vegetarian, meat and fish-based dishes are served daily in an exklusive environment. At restaurant Waste in A Working Lab, the friendly chefs are happy to tell you how they work actively to reduce food waste and make fantastic dishes from fine ingredients that has been saved from being thrown away. Finish with a coffee and a beautiful pastry in café Ooto in the yellow house.
