    Riksbyggen has signed an agreement with the University of Gothenburg. The associate professor Björn Andersson at the Department for Social Work will lead the research with the ambition to practically apply the concept of sustainability to an actual housing project.

    - It is an exciting and interesting initiative in several respects. We will work on developing theoretical perspectives on social sustainability as well as monitor the realization of an actual housing project, says Björn Andersson.

    Positive Footprint Housing is a collaborative project set in Gothenburg involving Chalmers, Riksbyggen, the University of Gothenburg and Johanneberg Science Park which is intended to create a holistic perspective on and approach to sustainable housing- and urban development with the inhabitants held first in mind. A research-project and a housing-project will be conducted simultaneously, and will mark the beginning of a long-term collaboration where researchers and students can evaluate the most recent results in a full-scale laboratory.

    Tyréns AB becomes the new joint owner of Johanneberg Science Park AB. Tyréns has extensive experience of closely collaborating with universities and university colleges from working with industrial doctoral students, adjunct professorships and common projects. Johanneberg Science Park will provide a new forum for working with other actors and the university. The most interesting aspect of the collaboration is the proximity to students and researchers.

    The property owners Akademiska Hus and Chalmersfastigheter have signed a cooperation agreement with Johanneberg Science Park. The aim is that the parties together will work for the development of the Campus Johanneberg in Gothenburg.

    AB Volvo, Göteborg Energi, HSB and Riksbyggen will be the principal owners of Johanneberg Science Park AB. The common factor is the possibility to in close cooperation with other companies, institutes and universities strengthen its competitiveness and growth potential through access to expertise in various fields and an attractive recruitment environment. Representatives of companies and researchers speak of the value of collaboration at the launch of Johanneberg Science Park on the 8th of June.
