Organisation
A close and trusting cooperation between academia, industry and other operators in society is essential for assuring competitive education, basic and applied research as well as to create encouraging environments for development and production which together give rise to economic growth and increased competitiveness.
With this background the City of Gothenburg and the Chalmers University of Technology Foundation formed Johanneberg Science Park AB in 2009 with the intention of realizing the vision of a Science Park at Campus Johanneberg. A Science Park which actively contributes to and supports the development of industries and the business community in the West of Sweden towards knowledge- and technology-intensive and dynamic fields of development which in turn generate improved possibilities for Chalmers, the University of Gothenburg and research institutes to establish close cooperation with the business community. Johanneberg Science Park AB is owned by the City of Gothenburg, the Chalmers University of Technology Foundation, AB Volvo, Göteborg Energi, HSB and Riksbyggen.
